Flowers & Leaves & Bamboo $225

This class is two 4 hour days.  Open Studio time is available by appointment if you need additional time to complete your flowers & leaves or start a new project.

Please note: In order to take this class you must have taken my Beginning Ornamental Welding class or have previous MIG welding experience.  I will only briefly review basic welding techniques to refresh your memory.

Many wonderful pre-made steel items are available, but sometimes you want a really unique look to your project. This is a hands on class with lots of demonstrations that will give you the know how to create organic, natural looking  plant life out of steel.  We will experiment with different techniques while creating the ever popular bamboo, flowers, bird nests, leaves and branches.  Time is provided to create a project in class.  All necessary materials will be provided for you to choose from several class projects.

This class will build on your BeginningOrnamental Welding skills.  The first hour of class introduces safe use and practice of power tool use (grinders, chop saws, and oxygen acetylene torches.  Working with these common metal shop tools will greatly expand your project options.
